Transformers

Rating: 9.3/10
Genre: Action
Overall value for money and time: 9.6/10

Another great blockbuster movie that has truly earned it's reputation. The jokes are novel and the CG top class. There is not a draggy moment for me throughout the movie as the slower going portions of it was accompanied by pleasant humour. Many have agreed upon how saucy the main actress is in the movie - Megan Fox. Personally, I need to put my contacts on for she wasn't the one who blew me away in this film, but Optimus Prime that did. A war between highly advanced robots re-erupts on Earth and the fate of Earth lies in the hands of the good guys. The one-sidedness of this movie is what makes you cringe in discontentment and anger. Don't get me wrong, I'm not negatively stating it. You know those movies where the good guys are badly outnumbered, outpowered and greatly misunderstood? That you are just disgusted by how the villians remain in control? This is one such movie. The good robots can transform into cars and trucks whereas the bad ones can transform into fighter planes and tanks. See what I'm driving at? However, this enhances the movie and you just can't wait for the good guys to beat the crap out of the bad guys. A great date movie even if you're girlfriend isn't one who's too fond of action. It has all the elements of great movie in it, romance, humour, good plot, good CG and great casting.
