Dawn of the Dead

Rating: 8.7/10
Genre: Horror
Overall value for money and time: 9.2/10

This has got to be the most seat gripping zombie movie I've ever watched. You will come out gasping for air after the movie for it's extreme intensity throughout the whole film. Imagine running away from fearsome looking zombies everywhere, which give chase like they're running for their lives, if they have any in the first place. On top of that, you're helplessly trapped in a shopping mall with thousands of zombies surrounding the vicinity just waiting for you to make the wrong move. You are almost certain there's no way out for you, should you be one of the survivors in that movie. There's no dragginess in the movie, not even for 1 sec. The first 5 minutes are all they give you to get comfortable in your seat... after that, it's one hell of a roller coaster ride. Great progression of scenes, great directing and great cast. The zombies are very realistic, and realistically horrifying they are. They do not depend solely on the cheap scares of most horror movies, instead, they create the sense of empathy which makes you get involved in the setting. There's not much to comment on the plot, just that after one fine day, the cast awakes in a world infested with zombies.
