The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy

Overall Rating: 9.6/10
Genre: Fantasy
Overall value for money and time: 9.8/10

1. The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

This is the best movie of the trilogy. It has good story progression and the characters are well developed. Excellent acting on the part of the cast and the effects are off the chart. It pulls you into the plot of the movie deeper and deeper, having you wishing for more. If you haven't caught this movie yet, you should give yourself 2 tight slaps for missing such an epic movie. The entire plot is basically a quest to destroy an evil ring to save earth from being conquered by the villians. A group of elite warriors are gathered to escort the keeper of the ring to destroy it at a volcano in the heart of the villians' territory. This movie is based on a novel by J.R.R Tolkiens and though many have said the novels are better in every aspect, well, a movie is faster and more visual in every aspect.

2. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

This is the worst sequel for the trilogy. Personally, it feels like there's no head or tail (which cannot be faulted on the director since it's supposed to be the "middle" movie of the trilogy). Still, the epic battle at helm's deep was dark, gloomy and felt a little draggy. Still, I'm not saying it's a bad film, just a notch down as compared to the rest of the trilogy series.

3. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

This sequel could easily have topped the 1st. However, due to the draggy ending, I felt that overall as a film, it's not as good as the first. The action scenes are the best in this sequel. The ending is a little unexpected but not totally mind blowing as compared to "SAW". But it's a different genre altogether. A trilogy not to be missed. Each and every series has it's pros and cons, but to sum it all up, it's almost the perfect trilogy ever produced.
