Overall value for money and time: 8.9/10
After declining to continue her role as "Clarice Starling" the FBI agent in "Silence of the Lambs" for "Hannibal", I didn't have such a good impression of Jodie Foster ever since. However, this movie has really made me fall in love with her once again. I really think this is Jodie Foster's breakthrough movie even though she's already getting on age. A woman struggles to move on with her life after she and her fiance were beaten by a gang of thugs. Her fiance was beaten to death but she narrowly escaped death. Life isn't the same for her and her fear and sense of injustice drove her to take matters into her own hands. She is quite the "superhero" in this movie where she brings bad guys to justice while the cops can't. However, her sense of justice is to kill them off, usually not because she wants to but because she's forced to. This movie really drives you into a moral dilemma. It draws a faint line between right and wrong and this movie brings you to the grey side of justice. While it may have quite the typical plot, this movie will have you leave the cinema at a loss of words. It has an unexpected ending and a good cast to enhance this movie. I truly recommend this movie to everyone out there.
